Continuing Education is Mandatory for Licensed Hygienists in North Dakota
The minimum number of hours required within a 2 year cycle is 16. Of these hours, a dental hygienist may earn no more than 8 hours from publications and online education. The continuing education must include:
- 2 hours of ethics or jurisprudence (Passing the laws and rules examination is the equivalent of 2 hours of ethics or jurisprudence. This exam can be found on the Board's website, www.nddentalboard.org.)
- 2 hours infection control
- 1 CPR course
Continuing education forms and updated information can be found at the Board's website, www.nddentalboard.org. Please keep materials that are pertinent to your CE course work as proof in the event of an audit.
